Top 5 Favorite Wellness and Mental Health Apps

I awoke last night from a abominable nightmare, anxious, horrified and severely disturbed. I felt the knots twisting in my belly; the tightness in my chest. My pillow drenched in sweat. The urge to stay frozen to my bed and take a sleeping pill crept in. It was in that moment I thought, what could I use right now (besides a pill) to soothe me? It was then when I reached for my phone, grabbed my headphones, and tapped open my Anxiety Release app.

Within minutes after listening to the soothing tones and voice of the app, I felt like someone was consoling me in a loving, kind way. I immediately felt the knots in my stomach untwist, and my breathing mellow. I calmed myself in a natural way, and was able to fall into a restful sleep for the rest of the night. “There’s an app for that” is a platitudinal phrase nowadays, but its’ becoming more certifiable every day.
