Join us in our un-bullying kindness movement. Where being kind, including others, and compliments are cool; and making fun of, bad mouthing, denigrating, and contemptuous sarcasm are not.

Over the past decade, the instances of bullying has increased across the United States escalating to harmful acts that can damage both the person being bullied and the bullier. Bullying is intentionally being maliciously mean to another person over and over again. Bullying often includes:

  • Teasing or threatening someone
  • Talking about hurting someone
  • Spreading rumors
  • Leaving people out on purpose
  • Attacking someone by hitting them or yelling at them
  • Destroying someone else’s property

Nowadays, Bullying does not always happen in person. Cyberbullying is a type of bullying that happens online, through text messages, emails or social media. It includes posting rumors on sites like Facebook, sharing embarrassing pictures or videos, and making fake profiles or websites.
  • Over 3.2 million students are victims of bullying each year.
  • 1 in 10 students drop out of school because of repeated bullying.
  • It is estimated that 160,000 children miss school every day due to fear of attack or intimidation by other students. Source: National Education Association.
  • Bullying statistics say revenge is the strongest motivation for school shootings.
Blue is the official color of bullying and bullying prevention initiatives across the world.
